About the Position
The **Regional Parts Sales Representative** plays a key role at Nova Bus/Volvo Group, managing parts sales on a regional level and helping make Nova the leader in bus parts distribution through customer satisfaction and the application of an insightful business philosophy. This role is considered remote with required frequent travel to company and customer sites.
Responsibilities
+ Manage parts sales activity for the assigned region and inspire dealership personnel to strive for customer satisfaction and increased sales
+ Visit regional transit bus customers regularly to sell new products and grow sales
+ Analyze customer buying habits to identify less popular products and increase their sale; in collaboration with sales management, develop strategies to design sales programs and plans, within the allocated regional spending budget, while increasing sales and profit margins
+ Reach sales and profit margin targets
+ Build solid business relations with transit bus customers in the assigned region
+ Build relations throughout the transit bus business, including sales, inventory, maintenance, operations, and management
+ Work with employees at all levels throughout Nova Bus to ensure customer satisfaction
+ Energetically pursue new accounts to increase sales and market share, as well as maintain or grow the market share of the established customer base
+ Build solid long-term relations with customers across all markets
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or 10 years of experience in the road transportation, coach and/or transit bus industry
+ Experience in sales training sessions or seminars
+ In-depth knowledge of mechanics, an asset
+ Knowledge of the bus industry and competitor products
Key Skills
+ Ability to manage an entire territory of mainly public sector (transit bus) customers and multiple projects
+ Ability to analyze and develop appropriately adapted strategies in response to needs
+ Advanced time management and organizational skills
+ Advanced follow-up and negotiation skills
+ Strong drive and energy
+ Professionalism and availability
+ Proficiency with computers (MS Office)
+ Available for frequent travel – at least 70% of the time
+ Available for occasional weekend work, for meetings and conventions
Salary and Benefits
At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base salary range is set at $91,500-$169,900, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
