General Summary:
Unum Group seeks Senior Test Engineers in Chattanooga, TN.

+ Design and develop test plan and derive Test Scenarios for new projects/deliverables in the scope.
+ Develop Azure devops pipeline as a code for continuous testing and continuous integration with the test automation scripts.
+ Create code branching strategy and policies for high quality automation deliverables.
+ Collaborate with developers in reviewing unit test and integration results for coverage analysis.
+ Provides ongoing and appropriate mentorship or quality engineers on testing standards and definitions, discipline of testing, automation best practices and test reporting methods.
+ Agile team development awareness as well as other development methodologies along with team training opportunities.
+ Plan and estimate the testing work ahead and develop program level test strategies to execute and deliver.
Position will supervises two to four subordinates in roles of Junior Test Engineers, Interns/Trainees.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of related experience. Requires 5 years of experience with the following: developing and executing software automation tests to ensure application solution design confirms to agreed quality attributes such as usability, functionality, security and performance; Developing custom test automation suites/frameworks in C# and Java. Requires 3 years of experience with the following: Development tools including IntelliJ, Eclipse, GitHub, and Test-Driven Development; Postman, Karate Framework for API test automation; Designing and developing test plans and deriving test scenarios for new projects/deliverables in the scope; Developing Azure devops pipeline as a code for continuous testing and continuous integration with the test automation scripts and creating code branching strategy and policies for high quality automation deliverables. Requires 2 years of experience with the following: Developing complex SQL scripts and executing via PowerCenter DVO for DB related testing; Providing appropriate mentorship for quality engineers on testing standards and definitions, discipline of testing, automation best practices and test reporting methods; Agile team development as well as awareness on other development methodologies along with team training opportunities.
Telecommuting 2 to 3 days per week permitted from normal commuting distance of the office. Travel to Atlanta office several times per year.
40 hours/week; $99,710 - $119,710 per year. This wage range supersedes the base salary range listed below, due to the salary range below reflecting a national range.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$89,400.00-$183,500.00
