Description:
Saint Mary Home, part of Trinity Health Senior Communities, is looking for a dedicated **Security Supervisor** to join our team. This working supervisor role will lead our security staff while also handling operational tasks directly, ensuring the safety and security of our residents, visitors, and staff.
What You’ll Do:
As our Security Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for:
+ Providing hands-on leadership and operational oversight of security staff.
+ Managing scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring team coverage.
+ Coaching, supporting, and assisting with employee discipline when necessary.
+ Maintaining safety by patrolling the premises and responding to security alarms and emergencies.
+ Serving as the first responder to incidents, coordinating with emergency personnel as required.
+ Performing light maintenance tasks, such as adjusting heating issues, handling minor repairs, and responding to water leaks.
+ Assisting with receptionist duties during off-hours and ensuring professional communication.
+ Completing shift activity reports, reporting unsafe conditions, and taking corrective actions when needed.
What You Bring:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in security or maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
+ Strong clerical and organizational skills, including proficiency in reading and managing spreadsheets and documentation.
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and manage the team effectively.
+ Strong judgment and attention to detail in assessing and handling safety issues.
+ Physical ability to perform routine maintenance and emergency tasks.
Schedule:
This full-time position requires **evening shifts (4 PM – 12 AM)** for 4 days per week, with **one daytime shift (8 AM – 4 PM)** per week. The schedule follows a two-week rotation. Every other weekend is required.
