    We currently have the opportunity for an Asphalt Plant Laborer to join our construction team in Western and Central Montana.

     

    We are seeking a maintenance minded individual looking for a long-term career in the construction industry. This position will provide the selected candidate the opportunity to develop a unique skillset with continued career growth.

     

    Key Functions

     

    + Responsible for daily maintenance tasks to maintain our stationary asphalt plant

    + Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks

    + Assist plant operator and other skilled labor when necessary

    + Maintain the general plant area by cleaning obstacles and hazards

    + Load or unload construction materials

    + Operate hand tools and power tools

    + Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE at all times

    + Perform any other duties instructed by the supervisor

    Qualifications

    + Minimum two (2) years of labor experience strongly preferred

    + Experience in Construction is also preferred

    + Mechanical aptitude

    + Team oriented with the ability to work independently when necessary

    + Ability to trouble shoot

    + Must be able to work various shifts, days and overtime as needed

    + Must be willing to travel

    Physical Requirements

    + Capable of lifting 50 to 75 lbs. regularly

    + Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement

    + Sit and/or stand for long periods of time

    + Reach with hands and arms

    + Bend at the waist, kneel, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull

    + Climb ladders/steps

    + Continuous use of hand tools for extended periods of time

    + Walk varying distances and on uneven ground at times

    + Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, and vibrations

    Compensation

    + Hourly rate of pay $22 to $28 an hour based on experience

    + Year 1 – Employer covers 80% of total (family) premiums

    + Years 2 & 3 – Employer covers 90% of total (family) premiums

    + Years 4 or more - Employer covers 100% of total (family) premiums

    Pre-Employment Requirements
