Quality Assurance Specialist
Pay $16.00/hr. in Monroe, NC
1st Shift - Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

We’re looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist in Monroe, NC to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and customer specifications. Position Summary:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a vital role in our production process. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect both printed and greige goods before they proceed to cutting, sewing, or shipment. You'll work closely with our print operators and cut-and-sew teams to maintain our reputation for quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect & Grade Fabric:
+ Examine rolls for color accuracy, registration, hand feel, and defects like streaks or misprints.
+ Apply customer-specific criteria to grade and accept/reject fabric lots.
Record & Report:
+ Log inspection data, yardage counts, and photos in our Airtable-based Quality Management System (QMS).
+ Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and communicate urgent issues to minimize delays.
Package & Label:
+ Wrap approved rolls and attach bar-coded labels with lot details for cutting and shipping.
Equipment Care:
+ Maintain workstation cleanliness and proper rewinder tension settings.
Continuous Improvement Support:
+ Provide accurate defect data to help reduce recurring issues and support our 5S initiatives.
Qualifications:
+ Experience:
+ 2+ years in textile or apparel quality inspection; digital print experience preferred.
+ Technical Skills:
+ Familiarity with AATCC & ASTM inspection methods and proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Airtable.
+ Language:
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
+ Vision & Dexterity:
+ Excellent visual acuity; ability to lift/turn rolls up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and stand for extended periods.
+ Communication:
+ Strong verbal and written skills to document issues and coordinate with various departments.
+ Soft Skills:
+ Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
+ Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to assist in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment & Schedule:
+ Work on the production floor with variable temperatures and moderate noise from equipment.
+ Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with overtime as needed.
