    Description

    Our Orthopaedic Surgery Department is seeking to hire a

    full-time Lab Assistant II to join the Soragni Lab. Primary duties

    include:

    + Developing, growing, and screening organoid cultures

    + Processing specimens for cell culture

    + Performing 2D/3D cell culture

    + Developing assays

    + Performing immunohistochemistry and other basic cancer cell biology techniques

    + Maintaining lab database

    + Maintaining department lab and inventory

    Salary

    range: $22.02/hr - $25.90/hr

    Qualifications

    Bachelors

     

    degree in biology or other related field (preferred)

     

    Previous

    laboratory experience

    Previous

     

    experience working with tumor organoids

     

    Skill

     

    in writing concise lab notes and protocols

     

    Knowledge

     

    of mammalian tissue culture

     

    Ability

     

    to perform data entry

     

    Interpersonal

     

    skills to effectively interact with faculty, staff, and students

     

    Ability to walk distances up to 1/3 mile.

     

    Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
