CNO Financial Group’s **IT Team** is hiring a **Sr. Developer** to contribute to large projects with minimal supervision. This role involves brainstorming technological solutions, coordinating project workflow, and consistently delivering business value. The Sr Developer will lead with an agile mindset, continuously improving the company's SDLC process. They will code, design, and innovate product architecture while controlling technical debt and enhancing application health. This individual will work closely with software developers, analysts, product owners, and QA testers.

As** **a Sr. Developer, your responsibilities will include:
+ Performing programming tasks, conducting code reviews, prioritizing work with developers, participating in technical requirement gathering, and optimizing service-oriented programming and functional specifications.
+ Meeting or exceeding the delivery timelines/expectations for the project (e.g., delivering on committed work within the sprint) and serving as an expert in estimating coding efforts
+ Writing technical specifications for medium to large features and writing and executing unit tests
+ Performs code reviews for compliance and coding standards for lower peer pull requests
+ Continuously learning and delivering work assignments, adhering to programming coding standards, and utilizing code repository, design patterns, along with adopting new tools and processes as needed
+ Proactively identify and address technical debt to reduce costs and improve efficiency
+ Demonstrating advanced expertise in the designated Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
+ Mentoring and coaching other developers and team members; collaborating with the team for creative problem-solving
+ Managing changes for completed work to assist in software capitalization, documenting developer notes to aid Business/Systems Analysts (BA/SA) in creating technical specifications and supporting Quality Assurance (QA) in determining test coverage.
The Sr. Developer position** **is well-suited for you if you:
+ Possess proficient to advanced level in cross technical skills of .Net and MuleSoft technology
+ Have good communication skills to share any impediments or blockers to committed sprint work deadlines and/or possible process improvements.
+ Can work independently while being highly collaborative with the team, providing mentorship for other developers and peer programming workflow coordination.
+ Have good time management skills to perform a variety of tasks, manage competing priorities, and complete tasks on time in a fast-moving environment while meeting (sprint) deadlines.
+ Possess problem-solving skills, self-correction ability, broad experience, and an understanding of business value and short-term project vision.
What you’ll need:
+ Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, or information systems or equivalent experience
+ Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of .Net and MuleSoft (combined) experience
+ .Net Experience
+ Strong understanding of C# and .Net Web APIs
+ Experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core.
+ Familiarity with Entity Framework and other ORMs.
+ Mulesoft Experience:
+ Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio/Platform and other MuleSoft development tools.
+ Experience with MuleSoft connectors and integrations.
+ Prior experience with SQL Server
+ Prior experience working with offshore teams
+ Willingness to work in the Central or Eastern time zone business hours
What will set you apart:
+ Prior experience in a SAFe Agile environment
+ The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including software developers, business/systems analysts, product owners, and quality assurance testers to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
+ Familiarity with CloudHub deployment and other MuleSoft deployment options.
