• Mainframe Production Operator

    Our client, a leading technology provider, is seeking a Production Control Consultant to join their team. As a Production Control Consultant, you will be part of the operations supporting the mainframe environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    Job Title: Mainframe Production Operator

     

    Pay Range: $30/Hr to $38/Hr

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Generate reports from batch jobs to ensure operational efficiency.

    + Handle internal customer support calls and manage ticket resolutions remotely.

    + Monitor and manipulate daily system jobs within the mainframe batch environment.

    + Create and support incident tickets via ServiceNow to streamline issue resolution.

    + Support all batch work required, including oneshots, ad hoc requests, and console support.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Experience with ServiceNow or any ticketing system.

    + Proficiency in IBM Z Workload Scheduler (IBM IZWS) or any Batch Operations Scheduling tool (e.g., CA7).

    + Familiarity with WAPL commands and EJES.

    + Knowledge of JCL/JCLCHK and JCL Overrides.

    + Experience in abend restart management and IPL support.
