Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Billing Coordinator. As our Billing Coordinator, you will provide billing for hospital services, prepares charts for claims submission and submits claims accordingly. We are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. We want you to apply now!

What you will do in this role:

+ You will respond to patient and third payer inquires.

+ You will prepare charts for claim submission and submit claims in a timely manner.

+ You will provide follow-up calls to insurance carriers to check on status of claims. You will initiate appeal for reconsideration of denied or rejected claims as necessary.

+ You will enter patient data accurately and efficiently.

+ You will regularly review department specific reports to ensure payments are applied appropriately.

+ You will maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information.

+ You will actively support improving billing efficiency, effectiveness and achievement of established goals/performance metrics.

What Qualifications you will need:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

+ A minimum of 1-year healthcare billing experience.

+ Critical thinking, service excellence and good communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills/Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.; keyboard skills of 60 wpm.
