    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Certified Surgical Technician provides safe and efficient care to the patient in the operating room. Included in this assignment is a strong working knowledge of the perioperative setting and effective communication skills in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support

    + Graduate of a formal training program in operating room technology, must pass CST exam within 180 days of graduation.

    + Two years Operating Room Experience preferred.

    + Certification CST by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting **or** TS-C by National Center for Competency Testing.
