• Mainframe Performance & Capacity Engineer

    Job Description

    A healthcare client is looking for a Mainframe Performance and Capacity Engineer to sit fully remote. This is a hands-on role that focuses on performance testing, capacity planning and observability within mainframe systems. This person is going to spend a majority of their time analyzing metrics, tuning systems and collaborating with development teams to identify inefficiencies and optimize performance. This person should have experience with and overall understanding of mainframe architecture, tuning/optimization, and workload management. This person is going to be doing performance testing and ensuring observability of mainframe systems. 60-65% of their time is going to be spent navigating and resolving issues in collaboration with the CICS teams and operational support.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5-10 years of experience with the mainframe / performance and capacity

     

    Solid understanding of CICS regions, DB2 calls and mainframe operational tools such as Tivoli

     

    Ability to monitor and manage resource consumption across diverse mainframe environments
