Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to join on of our clients in Jacksonville, FL in support of a multi-year DoD program. This person will be the direct supervisor of a team of engineers and provide the day-to-day instruction over these individuals as well as focusing on project execution. Former experience managing DoD contract projects is required. Qualified individuals must be eligible to obtain a security clearance if needed. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with 100% on-site work in Jacksonville, FL.
Day-to-Day:
- Plan and direct mechanical engineering efforts in support of DoD customer, from product development to production.
- Ensure all aspects of the deliverables are in line with customer requirements and overarching compliance as well as internal standards
- Assist in proposals, quality assurance, procurement and manufacturing
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship over more junior engineers and drafters

Skills and Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Completed Bachelors degree in engineering
- Experience with SolidWorks from a design perspective
- Experience with PDM as a file management tool
- Knowledge of ASMEY 14.100, MIL-STD-100G and GD&T
- Mechanical engineering experience in the aerospace industry or direct experience working with the Air Force
- Leadership and/or mentorship experience - Direct supervisor or manager experience
- Manufacturing background experience in metal fabrication, welding or assembly
- Fixed wing or rotary wing airframe structural experience
- Prior military aviation maintenance experience
- AutoCAD experience null
