Job Description
A Global Petcare company is needing a Data Engineer (II) to support their current foundational data platform. This individual will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing data pipelines and distributed systems, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks and performance issues. Problem solving skills are a must to successfully architect, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions through Azure cloud services. This role includes heavy involvement with leveraging Azure and Databricks for designing and implementing complex data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources. Past experience leading implementations and optimizations of data models and warehouses is a must. You will also be expected to monitor and enhance data quality through profiling, cleansing and validation techniques. Stakeholder communication is also very prevalent to define data requirements and solution implementation. If you have a deep passion for data and are an excellent problem solver, this would be a great role for you to have a voice and input on solutions!

Skills and Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in Data Engineering
- Experience designing and implementing solutions for large scale data challenges
- Deep expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark and data processing frameworks in cloud environments
- Python, SQL and Spark for data transformation and automation
- Bachelors degree required, Computer Science or related field - DevOps methodologies - CI/CD automation
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and a drive for innovation. null
