Job Description

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data processing and transformation solutions using Python and Apache Spark. You will work closely with our data management team to ensure the integrity and quality of our data, and contribute to data cataloging and lineage initiatives. Your knowledge of data visualization with JavaScript will play a crucial role in delivering insightful data resources. A familiarity with data management tools like Calibra and an understanding of graph processing will be advantageous. We are looking for someone who is not just experienced but also genuinely enthusiastic about using data to drive improvements.

*Key Responsibilities*:

- Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using Python for data ingestion and transformation.

- Utilize Apache Spark for large-scale data transformations and processing tasks.

- Implement data quality checks and develop data quality models to identify duplicates and ensure data integrity across various datasets.

- Collaborate with the data governance team to implement data cataloging and data lineage practices, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

- Work on visualizations using JavaScript to create user-friendly dashboards and reports that provide insights into data quality and trends.

- Contribute to the analysis of open data sources to enhance data offerings and insights.

- Engage with cross-functional teams to define and execute data strategy initiatives and best practices.

- Be proactive in identifying opportunities for data improvements and innovative solutions.

Skills and Requirements

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar role.

- Proficiency in Python for data processing tasks.

- Experience with Apache Spark for data transformation activities.

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript for creating effective data visualizations.

- Familiarity with data pipeline management, data quality assurance, data cataloging, and data lineage such as Calibra - Javaspringboot
