    MEAT - MEAT CUTTER

    We are seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join our team at The Market in the Square.

    Responsibilities:

    + Provides exceptional customer service at our Meat counter

    + Cuts, trims, and prepares meat according to company standards and customer requests

    + Safely operates meat-cutting equipment such as knives, saws, grinders, and slicers

    + Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of meat products

    + Maintains a clean and organized work area

    + Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the department

    What We’re Looking For:

    + Must be at least 18 years old

    + Previous experience cutting meat is preferred

    + Strong customer service skills

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    + Attention to detail and commitment to quality

    + Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Ability to safely operate equipment, including, but not limited to, knives, meat saws, vacuum sausage makers, scales, wrappers, grinders and slicers

    + Knowledge of local, state, and federal health and labeling regulations, USDA regulations, and OSHA standards

    + Knowledge and practice of cross-contamination prevention, proper food preparation and storage

    + Demonstrates excellent communication skills in order to ensure excellent customer service

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Physical Requirements:

    + Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day

    + The ability to lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs

    + Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required; flexible hours

    Education and Work Experience:

    + 5+ years meat cutting experience
