JOB SUMMARY

This position is for applicants interested in applying for the Blessing Health CNA Training Program. After completion of the program, you will work in the department you're initially hired into within Blessing Health to work as a CNA. Upon successful completion of the program and passing the state of Illinois CNA competency exam will result in a pay rate increase. This position is responsible for providing assistance with patient care activities and non-nursing tasks under the direct supervision of the RN and in cooperation with other nursing staff. As part of your extended orientation to attend the CNA Training Program, employees will be paid while attending this program. A portion of the training for this course includes an IDPH approved basic nurse assistant training program. Once this program is completed, students are eligible to take the nurse assistant/aide competency exam.

The CNA training program requires full-time hours (four days per week, 9 ½ hour days) for approximately four weeks. If hired to a part-time status, a student will then work in a hired status. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including adult through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED:

+ High School Diploma or Equivalent; or, be of at least 16 years of age

+ Good verbal communication skills

+ Must attend and successfully complete the Blessing CNA Training Program.

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

+ Upon completion of the Blessing CNA Training Program, you have 12 months from the program completion date to pass the Illinois Nurse Assistant/Aide Competency Exam.
