We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Services Specialist to join our Engineering and Technical Services team at BASF in Research Triangle Park, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities by working closely with our Maintenance, Engineering and Site Management teams. The Specialist will provide exceptional support to our staff and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and in a team, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

During your on site shift as a Site Services Specialist, you will

+ Work on-site Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or evening hours to support project activities.

+ Coordinate personnel and equipment relocations, including managing third-party moving contractors.

+ Oversee waste disposal from the facility, encompassing both hazardous and non-hazardous waste from laboratories and greenhouses as well as other waste streams.

+ Maintain the grounds and manage third-party landscaping and contracting services.

+ Assist in coordinating third-party contractor activities, including managing site access, issuing safe work permits, and conducting field safety assessments.

+ Support the Site Management Team with general site projects and issue resolution, as needed and directed.

+ Collaborate closely with the maintenance team to ensure the facility remains in good condition.

+ Assist the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team to ensure the site maintains a safe working environment.

If you...

+ Possess a HS Diploma or GED with 5+ years of industrial experience in maintenance, contractor management, or other site management roles.

+ Demonstrate experience with industrial and construction safety requirements (OSHA 30-hour certificate preferred) and experience managing hazardous waste (RCRA Hazardous Waste Generator training certificate preferred).

+ Have the ability to lift 50 lbs and can stand/walk for 6+ hours/day.

+ Can wear PPE, as required, to accomplish tasks, including steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and chemical protective clothing.

+ Have experience operating mobile equipment, such as a forklift (Forklift operator certification preferred)

+ Are proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

+ Have experience managing outside contractors to ensure safe and efficient work.

+ Demonstrate excellent customer service with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and also excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, vendors, and management.
