Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our client's property management team. This position is focused on leasing, lease-ups, and ensuring ongoing compliance with regulations. Candidates with prior experience and knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs are highly preferred for this role. Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist in the leasing process, including advertising vacancies, conducting property tours, and responding to tenant inquiries.
+ Support lease-up efforts for new properties, ensuring occupancy goals are met in a timely manner.
+ Perform leasing-related administrative tasks such as preparing lease agreements and collecting required documentation.
+ Ensure regulatory compliance for LIHTC properties, including income certifications, annual recertifications, and record documentation.
+ Conduct regular property inspections to ensure units meet safety, maintenance, and compliance standards.
+ Liaise with residents and respond to concerns or inquiries with professionalism and timely resolutions.
+ Assist with monthly rent collections, deposits, and tracking for both market-rate and affordable housing units.
+ Maintain accurate records and detailed tenant files, ensuring they meet internal and external compliance standards.
+ Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure both operational efficiency and resident satisfaction.
Requirements
+ Previous experience in property management focused on leasing, lease-ups, and compliance is required.
+ Familiarity with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program or other affordable housing programs is highly preferred.
+ Excellent knowledge of lease agreements, tenant laws, and fair housing regulations.
+ Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for tenant-facing and team interactions.
+ Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, or similar systems) is a plus.
+ Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education or certifications in property management are a plus (e.g., CAM, CPM).
