Description
My client is in search of a Director of Finance to join their team in New York City. In this role, you will oversee all daily operations of the Accounting Department, manage the accounting team, and collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes. You will also play a key role in assisting with the implementation of a new ERP system and ensuring full compliance with GAAP and audit requirements.
Responsibilities:
+ Oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department, ensuring clear communication with all levels of management and external clients.
+ Manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
+ Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system, including staff training and system development.
+ Regularly review and improve financial processes to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and external audit standards.
+ Prepare and present financial reports and executive briefings to senior management, highlighting financial performance, opportunities for improvement, and key business metrics.
+ Collaborate across departments to integrate technology and enhance process management and interdepartmental collaboration.
+ Streamline the recording of client sales transactions and standardize operating procedures across relevant internal teams, including Sales, Order to Cash, Billing, FP& A, GL, Collections, and Cash Management.
+ Utilize NetSuite to analyze complex financial data and assess business performance metrics.
Requirements • Big 4 Audit Foundation • Demonstrated experience in creating and managing an Annual Budget • Proven track record in Auditing, ensuring financial compliance and accuracy • Proficiency in Budget Processes, capable of developing and implementing financial strategies • Familiarity with NetSuite, able to use the software for financial management • Capable of effectively managing Month End Close procedures • Solid understanding of US GAAP, able to apply principles in financial reporting • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required • Knowledge of ASC 606, able to implement its standards in revenue recognition
