Job Description:
+ Accounting for payroll and related benefits and withholdings including headcount reporting and related analytics of cost and headcount
+ Annual incentive bonus program including modeling of achievement and no less than quarterly true-ups
+ Stock based compensation plans including grant valuations under black-sholes, monte carlo among others and modification accounting considerations
+ Employee stock purchase plan including modeling of discount and program parameters
+ Defined benefit pension plans including actuarial coordination, assumption setting and settlement accounting
+ Multi-employer benefit plans including funded status and contributions
+ Other post-employment benefit plans including actuarial coordination, assumption setting and settlement accounting
+ Defined contribution plans and contributions
+ Auto liability including actuarial coordination and review of claims administration and reserve setting
+ Workers’ compensation including actuarial coordination and review of claims administration and reserve setting
+ Product liability including actuarial coordination and review of claims administration and reserve setting
+ General liability including actuarial coordination and review of claims administration and reserve setting
+ Health care insurance including actuarial coordination and review of claims administration and reserve setting
+ Captive insurance accounting for certain self-insurance reserves
+ Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and corporate accounting policies.
+ Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and mitigate risk in employee benefits and self-insurance reserves.
+ Support internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
+ Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
+ Utilize data tools such as Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx, and Python to develop financial models, automate reporting, and generate actionable insights.
+ Improve data governance and system integration to enhance financial reporting accuracy, accessibility, and automation.
+ Provide data analytics and reporting support across finance, shared services, and accounting to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
+ Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
+ Partner with finance, human resources, operations, IT, and executive leadership to streamline financial reporting and enhance decision-making.
+ Drive finance transformation initiatives, incorporating automation and analytics to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.
+ Serve as a strategic advisor on project and asset financial matters, providing insights to executive leadership.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
+ 10+ years of relevant experience in employee benefits and self-insurance reserves accounting, or corporate financial reporting.
+ Strong technical expertise in employee benefits and self-insurance reserves U.S. GAAP accounting.
+ Proficiency with data analytics, automation, and reporting tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and Python.
+ Experience in finance shared services, corporate accounting, or enterprise financial reporting.
+ Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Ability to translate complex financial data into strategic business insights for senior leadership.
