Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Rochester, New York. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential accounting functions by processing and verifying invoices efficiently. The role requires expertise in managing accounts payable tasks and working within a corporate office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify the accuracy of invoices before processing.

• Utilize spreadsheet uploads to handle batches of invoices efficiently.

• Ensure timely and accurate entry of accounts payable data into the system.

• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Leverage Microsoft Excel to manage data and perform necessary calculations.

• Work with Oracle software to streamline invoice processing and accounting functions.

• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to address payment inquiries.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards throughout all processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

• Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.

• Experience with invoice verification and processing.

• Familiarity with spreadsheet uploads and batch processing techniques.

• Knowledge of Oracle software for accounting functions.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a corporate office setting.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and team members.
