• Sr. Accountant

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Pasadena, TX)


    Description

    We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This position is responsible for full-cycle month-end close activities, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and multi-state sales tax filings (TX, LA, PA, VA, FL). The Senior Accountant will also provide leadership to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff, working closely with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage all aspects of the month-end close process.

    + Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.

    + Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns across multiple states.

    + Supervise AP and AR processes and staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

    + Utilize NetSuite ERP for daily accounting operations (NetSuite experience strongly preferred).

    + Support external audits and assist with special accounting projects.

    + Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies.

    Requirements

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

    + Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.

    + Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.

    + Prior experience with NetSuite ERP

    + Experience in manufacturing, distribution, and inventory accounting is a plus.

    + CPA designation or CPA track is preferred but not required.

    + Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

    + Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
