Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in payroll processes and compliance, who can manage complex payroll operations efficiently. Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for over 500 employees on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll laws, tax regulations, and workers' compensation requirements.

• Administer payroll-related benefits such as 401k and RRSP, resolving any discrepancies or issues.

• Conduct detailed audits of payroll processes to identify and rectify errors.

• Manage payroll tax setup and filings, maintaining compliance with federal and state requirements.

• Handle multi-state payroll operations, addressing unique jurisdictional requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll queries and provide exceptional employee support.

• Execute adjustments and updates to employee records, ensuring data integrity.

• Participate in benefit functions and ensure proper deductions are applied to payroll.

• Maintain detailed documentation of payroll processes for auditing and reporting purposes. Requirements

+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in payroll management, including full-cycle payroll.

+ Bilingual Engl ish and Spanish (preferred)

+ Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and regulations.

+ Proven expertise in administering payroll taxes and workers' compensation.

+ Experience managing payroll for large organizations with over 500 employees.

+ Proficiency in auditing payroll systems and identifying discrepancies.

+ Familiarity with 401k and RRSP administration.

+ Ability to handle weekly payroll operations with accuracy and efficiency.

+ Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage payroll inquiries and documentation.
