Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. This role requires an individual with strong attention to detail who can manage financial records, analyze data, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in reconciliation, reporting, and auditing processes to support the organization’s financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile and review business accounts, including bank statements and credit cards, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Analyze accounting data to provide insightful financial reports for management.

• Prepare journal entries for assets, liabilities, and capital accounts by compiling and interpreting account information.

• Develop and maintain documentation of financial transactions to ensure accurate record-keeping.

• Create balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize the company’s current financial status.

• Audit financial records and transactions to verify their accuracy and compliance.

• Recommend improvements to accounting controls, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

• Supervise and support accounting staff by addressing inquiries and coordinating activities.

• Resolve discrepancies in financial records through thorough analysis and investigation.

• Safeguard financial information by performing regular database backups and implementing internal controls.

Requirements • Extensive experience with account reconciliation and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger and journal entries.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliation.

• Ability to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.

• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Proven ability to manage and oversee accounting teams effectively.
