    We are looking for a tech savvy, forward thinking and experienced Tax Manager to lead and enhance our client's tax practice in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role requires a proactive individual who can provide expert advisory services, oversee tax operations, and ensure compliance with the latest tax regulations.     Responsibilities:

    • Deliver strategic tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimize liabilities, optimize financial strategies, and achieve their goals.

    • Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, fostering growth through mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.

    • Oversee the successful execution of tax projects by identifying challenges and providing effective solutions.

    • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute tax strategies that align with the firm's objectives.

    • Participate in business development initiatives by identifying cross-selling opportunities and supporting client referrals.

    • Prepare, review, and file accurate and timely tax returns, ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations.

    • Stay updated on tax laws and industry trends, conducting research to address complex tax issues.

    • Utilize technology and accounting software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

     

    Requirements • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

     

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification and active license.

    • At least 8-12 years of relevant experience in tax preparation, compliance, or advisory services, with a proven ability to manage complex engagements.

    • Minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role, demonstrating success in team management and strategic direction.

    • Strong client service and interpersonal skills, with excellent communication and organizational abilities.

    • Proficiency in tax software such as Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS, SurePrep, and accounting tools like QuickBooks.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment without compromising accuracy.

    • Familiarity with project management tools, with experience in Canopy being a plus.
