    Description

    Management Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant for a contract to hire opportunity. The Senior Accountant will be managing complex financial activities, supporting accounting operations, and ensuring compliance within the clients company. This is 100% remote, within the US.

    Key responsibilities:

    + Responsible for managing up to 10 complex funds, with a focus on the onboarding and transition of funds from Transactions Fund Accounting Team to Operational Fund Accounting Team.

    + Perform month end close process for assigned funds in a complete, correct, and timely manner.

    + Perform cash management for assigned funds such as weekly bank reconciliations, cash requirements balance checks, preparing and sending wire transfer form and wires and review cash management functions of junior staff

    + Performing an analytical review of monthly trial balances for entry level funds.

    + Assist Seniors and Managers in the review process of annual audits for entry level funds.

    + Provide additional documentation/support as requested for annual audit of assigned funds.

    + Become an expert in transactions affecting assigned funds.

    + Assist with development loan draws

    + Identify areas for efficiency and improvements to month end close process.

    Requirements

    + 2+ years of public accounting experience or 4+ years of corporate accounting experience (or a combination of the two) with demonstrated advancement of skills and responsibility.

    + Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting

    + Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills

    + Loan experience is a plus

    + Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

    + Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting with the ability to research and interpret GAAP concepts.

    + Proficiency in accounting software and tools; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
