Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Technician to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will take on diverse responsibilities, ranging from detailed account reconciliation to managing customer interactions and compliance tasks. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within the transport industry, offering a dynamic environment to grow your expertise in accounts receivable processes. Responsibilities:

• Reconcile customer account aging reports daily to ensure accuracy in financial records.

• Maintain and monitor accounts receivable aging for multiple entities, providing timely updates to management.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts, ensuring efficient communication and resolution.

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures with precise reporting and compliance.

• Process refunds for credit card waybills and freight claims, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.

• Generate weekly and monthly invoices and contribute to regular Jetstream invoicing processes.

• Implement and refine procedures to optimize accounts receivable operations and streamline workflows.

• Train and mentor entry-level team members on advanced accounts receivable protocols and practices.

• Manage physical and digital records related to accounts receivable, ensuring compliance with company standards.

• Foster strong relationships with customers and internal teams to address accounts receivable inquiries effectively.

Requirements • High school diploma is required; an Associate’s Degree or higher is preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and customer service roles, with relevant education potentially substituting up to 3 years of experience.

• Proficiency in supporting accounts receivable processes for multiple entities.

• Familiarity with airfreight transportation and accounting systems such as SAP and Microsoft SharePoint.

• Skilled in using accounting software, CRM platforms, and ERP systems.

• Strong ability to handle billing functions, cash activity, and account reconciliations.

• Must successfully pass pre-employment drug testing, background checks, and security threat assessments.

• Knowledge of cargo revenue accounting and specialized expertise in financial operations is strongly preferred.
