HOW A MACHINERY MAINTENANCE MECHANIC WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
+ Develops, fabricates, and repairs various types of punches and dies for use in metal working press operations.
+ Fabricates and repairs molds for use in molding and shaping plastics, rubber and other materials.
+ Sets up and operates manual machines and machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, and grinder, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications to maintain precise tolerances in all parts produced.
+ Knowledge of hardening, annealing, and stress-relieving on metals and metal alloys in order to choose the proper material for specific items to be made. Heat Treating of metals.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
+ Minimum of 5 years experience as a Toolmaker or in a similar capacity within a manufacturing setting.
+ Knowledge of and liability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings.
+ Tool and die maker ability to read tool and die designs and prints.
+ Tool and die maker basic shop math and trigonometry.
+ Tool and die maker ability to use precise measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, etc.
+ Tool and die maker ability to operate all standard tool room equipment such as milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, lathes, and must be able to write programs for the CNC machines.
+ Tool and die maker must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
+ Tool and die maker able to work independently and be self-motivated.
+ Tool and die maker must be able to work without supervision.
+ Tool and die maker ability to communicate well with others.
+ Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
+ US citizenship required.
+ This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.92 - $35.08. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
