Position Summary

• Performs tasks related to monitoring of cardiac rhythms of all assigned patients

• Observes telemetry cardiac monitors, listening for and responding to all alarms

• Using Philips e-calipers, measures cardiac cycles and pertinent intervals on graphic sheets. Posts a minimum of one strip every 8 hours on every assigned patient's chart and post strips in response to significant changes in patient's cardiac rate and or rhythm.

**Position Requirements** :

• High School diploma/ GED required

• Associate's Degree/Clinical Certification preferred

• CNA certification preferred (At least 6 months of CNA/PCT experience required)

• Bilingual (Spanish) abilities highly desirable.

• CPR certified

• Telemetry Class and Competency in EKG interpretation
