Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Boulder, Colorado. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial operations, including payroll processing, expense management, and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge and technical proficiency to support the team effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including coding invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments.

• Manage payroll operations, expense reporting, and procurement functions with a focus on compliance and efficiency.

• Conduct weekly AP check runs and oversee sales and use tax reporting using tools such as Vertex.

• Perform cost analyses and profitability assessments for clients, ensuring accurate invoicing aligned with work orders.

• Track time utilization and conduct detailed analyses to optimize operational efficiency.

• Maintain contracts and work orders, ensuring all financial documentation is accurate and up to date.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills for reporting, data analysis, and reconciliation tasks.

• Operate accounting software systems such as QuickBooks Online, Procure Desk, and Expensify to streamline financial processes.

• Collaborate with team members and external stakeholders to address inquiries and ensure smooth financial operations.

• Support procurement activities by managing vendor relationships and ensuring accurate order processing. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, payroll processing, and expense management.

• Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and tools like Expensify and Procure Desk.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting capabilities.

• Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations and reporting processes.

• Ability to perform cost analysis, profitability assessments, and utilization tracking.

• Familiarity with contracts, work orders, and invoicing procedures in a detail-oriented setting.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple financial tasks.

• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teams and stakeholders.
