Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team in Salem, Oregon. This is a long-term contract to permanent position ideal for someone who excels in managing financial records and supporting accounting operations. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions.

Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness. • Assist with bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are up-to-date and error-free. • Support the auditing process by preparing and organizing necessary documentation. • Utilize accounting software systems to maintain and update financial records. • Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by the team. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. • Monitor and address discrepancies in financial data, resolving issues promptly. • Input and manage data in tools such as Microsoft Excel to create detailed financial spreadsheets. • Provide administrative support to the accounting team when needed. Requirements • Proficiency in using accounting software systems to manage financial data.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable and receivable.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and auditing processes.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and spreadsheet creation.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple tasks.

• Prior experience in a similar accounting or finance role is preferred.
