• Sr. Systems Engineer

    Description We are in the process of hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer for our team located in SOUDERTON, Pennsylvania, United States. Operating within the Research & Development industry, the role involves managing servers and networking equipment, ensuring the smooth running of networking services across all sites. The Sr. Systems Engineer will also handle the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computerized systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the configuration, deployment, and support of infrastructure and applications.

    • Ensure the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all computerized systems.

    • Maintain uptime in accordance with the agreed service level agreement.

    • Utilize various open-source technologies and cloud services.

    • Manage highly available (99.9%) public-facing, front-end web servers/websites, focusing on configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

    • Have an in-depth understanding of private and public cloud technologies and operations, including VMWare, AWS, and Azure.

    • Maintain an extensive understanding of various VMware technologies such as ESXi, VRealize Suite, NSX-T.

    • Utilize a strong background in Linux and Windows Administration.

    • Implement and maintain server hardware/software configuration.

    • Maintain and troubleshoot network systems.

    • Understand networking and core Internet protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks.

    • Uphold best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service. Requirements • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is required

    • Familiarity with Citrix Technologies is needed

    • Experience with Cloud Technologies is essential

    • Knowledge of DELL EMC Technologies is required

    • Understanding of Dell Technologies is necessary

    • Ability to conduct AB Testing is desired

    • Proficiency in Active Directory is expected

    • Prior experience in Automation is required

    • Proficiency in AWS Technologies is needed
