Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California, on a Contract to permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization with multiple entities, where you will take ownership of essential accounting functions. Initially onsite, the position may transition to a hybrid schedule as the team evolves, providing flexibility and room for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, manage payment cycles, and ensure accurate tracking of expenses within accounts payable.

• Oversee tenant receivables by managing payments, addressing collections, and maintaining tenant account accuracy.

• Prepare and issue tenant invoices and other billing documentation with precision.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.

• Utilize Yardi or similar property management software to perform accounting tasks and generate reports.

• Collaborate with property management and operations teams to ensure efficient financial workflows.

• Assist with month-end closing processes and contribute to the preparation of financial reports.

• Support various accounting administrative tasks and participate in ad hoc projects as the organization grows. Requirements • Associate degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software is required.

• Previous experience in property management or real estate accounting, particularly in a commercial setting, is highly desired.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, tenant receivables, billing processes, and bank reconciliations.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, small-team environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
