Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. This is a Contract-to-long-term position with an opportunity to develop your accounting skills and grow into advanced responsibilities over time. The ideal candidate will initially focus on accounts payable and payroll, with the potential to expand into general ledger work and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

• Manage payroll operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely payment.

• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger, including posting journal entries.

• Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes.

• Support the preparation of financial reports and documentation.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Learn and adapt to company-specific accounting processes and systems.

• Provide assistance with accounts receivable tasks as needed.

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial records. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting principles, including debits and credits.

• Experience with accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger processes.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.

• Prior experience in construction accounting is a plus but not required.
