Job Description:

GDIT is seeking an **Engineer Technician V** to help support the **SACSS** program in Chula Vista, California.

This is an onsite position, and no relocation assistance is provided.

Job Description:

+ Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs and tests various types of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and related devices on board Naval Vessels

+ Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles to put equipment in operational condition and solve moderately complex problems.

+ Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment.

+ Modifies circuitry to improve performance.

+ Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems.

+ May provide operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel.

+ Performs preventative maintenance.

+ Participates in special projects, as required.

Requirements:

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $37.79 - $51.13. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
