Therapy Technician
PRN
• **Work location:** Texas Health Southwest Ft. Worth, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132
• Therapy departments – Physical, Occupational, & Speech Language Therapy – Outpatient, with some Inpatient acute care
Work hours:** PRN: On an as needed basis, Mainly Monday-Friday weekdays between the hours of 6:00AM to 5:30PM **.

Here’s What You Need
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One (1) Year Rehab tech experience Preferred
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.
• The ability to communicate and respond verbally and in writing to or for patients, family members and staff members.
• Experience in both computers and customer service are ideal
What You Will Do
• The position is 85-90% phone, computer work - scheduling patients, greeting patients when they come to the outpatient clinic and cleaning equipment/changing linens after the patient leaves.
• There is a lot of multi-tasking with frequent interruptions
• Assists therapist in set-up of all equipment necessary to perform assessments and treatments
• Effectively assists in multiple areas of the department.
• Reviews patient data and charts as requested
Organizes and maintains patient charts
Utilizes computer for messaging and necessary patient information
Assists with scheduling and phone duties
Helps maintain all educational material and department forms
Helps with faxing and copy needs of the department
Assists with data collection as requested.
• Cleans and maintains equipment
• Documents on the cleaning and maintenance of equipment
• Maintains department stock items
• Completes safety, stocking and inventory records.
• Participates in orientation and training of therapy technicians
