+ Work location: Texas Health Willow Park - 101 Crown Pointe Blvd. Willow Park, Texas 76087
+ Work environment: Radiology CT Scan Services
+ Work hours: PRN As Needed Variable Rotating Shifts
Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Willow Park, an integrated health campus owned and operated by Texas Health Resources, opened in eastern Parker County in January 2015 and features a freestanding emergency department, fitness center and three-story medical office building. Services include cardiac rehabilitation, behavioral health, physical therapy, laboratory services, advanced imaging and a chronic disease management program.
+ Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required) or
+ Associate Degree (preferred)
+ 1 year radiologic technologist experience without ARRT-CT (required) or
+ No experience with ARRT-CT (required)
+ ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required) and
+ ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (required) or
+ ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (if 1 year radiology technician exp) within 12 Months (required) and
+ CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB (required) and
+ BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required)
**Position Responsibilities** A Texas Health **_CT Technologist_** is responsible for explaining procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to and during exam, imaging correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols, and performing complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful **_CT_** **_Technologist_** will
+ process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.
+ correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
+ assess and recognize the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
+ operate, care for and maintain equipment.
+ prepare room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies).
+ administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
+ maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors).
