Position Summary: The coordinator will work with the program director to support families with young children; to plan and facilitate fun and educational events for parents and families; to connect, support, and align the organizations serving families with young children in Park County.
Position: Early Childhood Coalition Coordinator
Type: Part-Time: 20hrs/week
Salary: $20.72-$21.24 DOE + $2.30 locality differential
Key Responsibilities:
+ Plan and lead weekly group events for families.
+ Plan and lead monthly coalition meetings, take minutes, keep Coalition connected, and support the implementation of the Coalition’s strategic plan.
+ Nurture and develop strong relations with coalition members and childcare providers.
+ Communicate well: clear speaker, excellent listener, invite participation.
+ Provide community training, such as Adverse Childhood Experiences, Positive Childhood Experiences, secure attachment, Circle of Security, and support the coordination of Coalition partners’ relevant community training (e.g. Literacy Night at schools).
+ Provide childcare for parent/family events on occasion.
+ Write grants. Cultivate relationships with foundations and individual donors.
+ Market the Coalition’s work through social media, newsletters, and website.
+ Collect and record program data through surveys and a database.
+ Connect and refer families to community resources.
+ Participate in required local, regional, and virtual meetings for training and collaboration.
+ Adheres to all One Health Policies and Procedures.
+ Participates in performance optimization and risk management activities as required.
+ Cooperates and abides by all elements of One Health’s Compliance Program.
+ Provides exceptional customer service and models the mission of One Health when interacting with all clients, co-workers, and others, promoting a positive image for One Health.
+ Performs other duties as assigned or required with or without prior notification.
Job Qualifications :
Education/Certificates/Licenses:
Required
+ Associate’s degree or in lieu of degree, four (4) years’ experience in field or a combination of college and experience
+ Valid driver’s license
Preferred
+ Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, child development, or a related field;
Experience:
Required
+ One (1) year in community organizing, working with families and young children, education, or public health
+ One (1) year experience working in a non-profit
+ One (1) year experience with grant writing and fundraising
+ Computer skills (i.e Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred
+ Five (5) years’ experience in community organizing, youth work, education, or public health.
