Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and observant Parking Lot Security Guard to monitor and patrol parking areas to ensure the safety of vehicles, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will deter suspicious activity, and provide a visible, reassuring presence for visitors and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Patrol parking lots on foot or by vehicle to monitor for theft, vandalism, loitering, or other suspicious activity.
+ Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter criminal activity.
+ Respond to incidents or emergencies calmly and promptly, including accidents, altercations, or security concerns.
+ Assist visitors or employees with directions, lost vehicle reports, or general inquiries.
+ Complete detailed incident and shift reports, noting any unusual occurrences or enforcement actions.
+ Work in coordination with local law enforcement or emergency responders if needed.
+ Conduct regular checks of lighting, signage, and general lot conditions, and report any hazards or maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Prior experience in security, especially in parking or patrol settings, is a plus.
+ Valid security license or guard card as required by state/local regulations.
+ Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to remain alert and calm in high-pressure situations.
+ Able to patrol on foot and/or by vehicle for extended periods.
+ Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Work Schedule:
+ May include nights, weekends, and holidays.
+ Flexible shifts based on site needs.
**Pay Details:** $17.50 per hour
