Overview
Classification:Full-Time, Exempt, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., weekends and evenings as needed
Salary: $55, 000 - $60,000 Annually
Job Focus: The Corporate and Donor Relations Specialist is responsible for developing new philanthropic relationships and strengthening existing partnerships with corporations, businesses, and individual donors to secure critical funding and volunteer support for The Salvation Army in Central Ohio. This role works collaboratively with the Development Department, Donor Relations Director, Corps Officers, and other key stakeholders to advance The Salvation Army’s mission. This position will implement a comprehensive engagement plan focused on cultivating donors, securing sponsorships, engaging volunteers, and fostering meaningful community connections through stewardship, events, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications
+ Strong commitment to and understanding of The Salvation Army’s mission, values, and faith-based approach.
+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
+ Preferred minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience working in corporate relations, fundraising, sales, or nonprofit development with proven success in relationship building and revenue generation.
+ Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
+ Strong relationship management and donor stewardship abilities.
+ Comfort and proficiency in solicitation, including direct donor and corporate asks.
+ Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and donor management systems (Salesforce preferred).
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with The Salvation Army’s insurance requirements.
+ Occasional morning, evening, and weekend work required for events and donor meetings.
