Job Title: Payroll SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist with exceptional bookkeeping and QuickBooks skills. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working with multiple QuickBooks files and companies simultaneously in a public accounting environment. Additionally, the candidate should possess exceptional payroll tax knowledge and the ability to process payroll in multiple states. A positive attitude, professional demeanor, emotional intelligence, and expert problem-solving skills are essential for this role. While a degree in accounting and public accounting experience are required, a CPA is not necessary as skill level and experience are highly valued.

Responsibilities

+ Manage and process payroll for multiple companies in multiple states.

+ Maintain and manage multiple QuickBooks files simultaneously.

+ File payroll tax returns accurately and timely.

+ Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations across multiple states.

+ Provide exceptional bookkeeping services.

+ Demonstrate a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and high emotional intelligence.

+ Solve problems effectively and efficiently.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks.

+ 2+ years of experience processing payroll and filing tax returns for multiple companies in multiple states.

+ Exceptional payroll tax knowledge.

+ Degree in accounting.

+ 2-5 years of public accounting experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 3+ years of multi-state payroll experience (open to 1-2 years).

+ Skill level and experience are valued over education or certifications.

+ CPA is not required.

Work Environment

This is an in-office role with the potential to work in a hybrid environment in the future. Minimal overtime is required, with no heavy hour tax season.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
