Job Title: Collections Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for managing delinquency levels within an assigned portfolio of accounts in the 30-89 day aging categories. This position requires making outbound calls, sending letters to delinquent customers, reconciling payment and billing histories, and negotiating payment arrangements. You will periodically pull and analyze credit information to recommend appropriate actions on problem accounts, including repossession, modification, and transfer to late-stage collections. This role may involve direct contact with program/dealer partners and other sources to assist with problem accounts and reconciliations.
Responsibilities
+ Manage delinquency levels within the assigned portfolio through outbound calls, letters, and third-party providers.
+ Assist customers with account reconciliations utilizing payment and billing histories.
+ Access and analyze appropriate credit information (i.e., consumer and commercial credit bureau reports) when necessary.
+ Communicate effectively with customers and their representatives as well as internal business partners to resolve delinquency issues.
+ Recommend solutions to customers and internal stakeholders, including negotiation of payment arrangements, recommendations for modification, default, or repossession.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of consumer or commercial collections experience.
+ B2B
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, etc.).
+ Experience with Oracle (extremely nice to have).
+ College degree or equivalent experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience managing delinquency levels within an assigned portfolio.
+ Experience managing their own collections list (not an automated system).
+ Experience working a high volume of accounts throughout the month (250 accounts or more).
+ Skip tracing experience.
Work Environment
3 days a week in the office. The team handles diverse portfolios, overseeing large commercial assets and anything that can be financed for a business
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.44/hr.
