    Civil BIM Modeler - Chicago, IL

    Job Description

    + Will support water, infrastructure, environmental, and transportation programs

    + Prepare design assignments and perform complex Intelligent Modeling/CADD drafting tasks.

    + Review manufacturers’ prints for design documents.

    + Provide design sketches and guidance to lower-level modeling personnel.

    + Determine material needs and perform calculations using firm standards.

    + Verify intelligent model integrity and provide CADD/technical support.

    + Coordinate Intelligent Modeling for projects to ensure team collaboration.

    + Crosscheck drawings for consistency and adherence to QA/QC standards.

    + Offer conceptual input during planning stages and support field assignments.

    + Provide technical guidance and review lower-level personnel’s work for accuracy.

    + Perform related engineering support tasks like plotting drawings and preparing transmittals.

    + Establish design criteria using basic engineering principles and material properties.

     

    Skills & Qualifications

     

    + High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.

    + 9 years of related experience.

    + Proficient in Civil 3D

    + Excellent communication skills and strict attention to detail.

    + Flexible team player, adaptable to changing requirements.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office for design tasks.

    + Advanced knowledge of intelligent modeling/CADD drafting commands.

    + Solid understanding of intelligent modeling technologies.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $41.44 - $68.38/hr.
