• Microstation Drafter

    Actalent (Irvine, CA)


    Actalent is currently seeing to hire a qualified MicroStation drafter for a position in Irvine, CA. This person will be part of a team providing designer support for both large and small-scale substation engineering projects.

    Responsibilities

    + Create electrical drawings for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

    + Develop entry-level drawings using computer-aided design software under the supervision of Electrical Technicians or Engineers.

    + Demonstrate knowledge of procedures for producing design developments and construction documents, along with a thorough understanding of engineering planning, drafting, and detailing.

    + Perform other duties as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Associate or technical school degree, or a combination of education and relevant computer skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

    + Familiarity with Database/Document Management.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1+ years of experience in designing electrical lighting, power, and systems for building projects.

    + Experience in Healthcare, Science and Technology, and/or Civic facilities.

    + Experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm is highly desirable.

    + Interest in sustainable design/LEED is desired.

    + Experience with MicroStation.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position requires working full-time in the office for the initial 12 months while consulting.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
