    Job Title: Production Assembler 18 an hour

    Job Description

    Under general supervision, the Assembler I will be responsible for assembling components, including sub-assemblies, manual components, and electrical components, to contribute to the completion of various products. The role adheres to safety, quality, and quantity standards and follows directions and blueprints to meet product specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble components, sub-assemblies, manual components, and electrical components.

    + Follow directions and blueprints to meet product specifications.

    + Adhere to safety, quality, and quantity standards.

    + Maintain good housekeeping and ergonomic practices.

    + Participate in cross-training and teamwork activities.

    + Pay attention to detail and speak up when noticing safety or quality issues.

    + Learn new processes, systems, and equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English.

    + Ability to carry out verbal instructions and communicate verbally in English.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. frequently and rarely lift/carry 50-75 lbs.

    + Ability to perform prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling.

    + Hand grasp ability and coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + Experience with assembly, hand tools, power tools, and job diagrams.

    + Ability to meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.

    + Motivation to grow, learn, and progress to the next level in skills.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a 2nd shift position located in Portage, MI, with a pay rate of $18.00/hr. The work demands may include prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling. You may be required to reach, push, or pull to accomplish job accountabilities. The role requires good housekeeping and ergonomic practices.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
