    Job Title: Floor Care Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Floor Care Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance procedures, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and the use of various types of industrial floor care equipment. The technician will also be responsible for carpet and upholstering care, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures for hard floor care.

    + Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surfaces.

    + Use proper procedures for carpet and upholstery care, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.

    + Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.

    + Operate scrubbing, polishing, and burnishing equipment.

    + Other duties as assigned by the manager.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance procedures.

    + Experience with industrial floor care equipment.

    + Ability to follow safety procedures.

    + Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.

    + Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is onsite at a healthcare facility. The majority of openings are at the main hospital, with two specific openings at the children's tower. The **shift is** **_2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm_** **.** The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required as weekend work may be needed.

    This position is based out of Richmond, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
