Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will set up and operate small turn and vertical turning lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, milling, and part complete operations. Your role is crucial in optimizing set-up times and maximizing machine utilization.

Responsibilities

+ Optimize set-up times and maximize machine utilization.

+ Understand task specifications by reading blueprints and route instructions.

+ Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.

+ Troubleshoot programs and make adjustments when needed.

+ Set up CNC equipment to complete full cycles, producing both high and low volumes of parts.

+ Improve productivity, maintain offsets, and inspect parts with a high degree of precision.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience operating CNC Lathe machines in a manufacturing environment, including performing setups.

+ Experience with 3-4 axis required.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and utilizing GD&T.

+ Experience with brands such as Brother, Doosan, Takumi, Siemens is a plus but not required.

+ G Code experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with the person mill and lathe.

+ Proficiency with calipers and other precision measuring instruments.

+ Ability to perform changeovers efficiently.

+ Experience with vertical lathe programming and axis control.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
