Job Title: Custodial Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Custodial Manager to oversee a team of 17-20 unionized custodial employees. The role operates Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a rotating coverage every third weekend. During these weeks, you will have two days off during the week. This position requires a strong leader who can manage and supervise employees, ensuring all custodial tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and oversee a team of 17-20 unionized custodial employees.
+ Address any issues among employees or management with a firm approach.
+ Deploy the team strategically across campus to maximize cleaning impact.
+ Instruct employees on floor cleaning, waxing, stripping, and carpet cleaning without performing these tasks directly.
+ Focus on supervising rather than participating in custodial work, as per union rules.
+ Ensure efficient and correct completion of all custodial tasks.
+ Prioritize cleaning projects, including common areas, dorm room cleanouts, and floor cleaning.
Essential Skills
+ Experience managing or supervising a team of 10+ employees.
+ Proficiency in cleaning, janitorial tasks, and customer relations.
+ Experience with Microsoft Outlook and email communication.
+ Ability to order supplies and manage inventory.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Hands-on cleaning experience.
+ Experience in customer-facing cleaning roles for third-party companies.
+ Spanish speaking is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
