Holladay Lions Recreation Center is a great place to work!

The Recreation Center is in Holladay and offers a wide variety of youth and adult sports programs, birthday parties, rentals, fitness classes and more! Facility amenities include an indoor pool, hot tub, gymnasium, drop-in day care, fitness equipment and an indoor walking track.

We are currently seeking motivated, reliable, people-friendly staff in the follow areas:

AQUATICS

+ EmailRose ([email protected]) for swim instructor and life guard positions (must be at least 15 years old for either position.)

+ Lifeguards (all shifts, early morning, mid-day and afternoon NEEDED! Please list what times you could work in the application process.)

+ Start off as a Lifeguard Trainee if not currently certified with Star Guard

+ Head Lifeguard

+ Group Lesson Swim Instructors

+ Private Swim Instructors

+ Water Aerobics Instructor (must have primary group certification upon hire)

+ Arthritis Aerobics Instructor (must have arthritis instructor certification upon hire)

MY COUNTY REC PASS

+ Program Supervisor

+ 15-25 hours/week, weekday afternoons and evenings, weekends as needed.

+ Plean, schedule, and lead free youth-focused community recreation programs

+ Supervise staff, collaborate with facility/program managers and community partners

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ My County Rec Pass Staff

+ Year round. This position is an opportunity to facilitate a safe and fun environment for the youth in the community. Must be at least 16 years of age

YOUTH & ADULT SPORTS

+ Summer Camp Counselors (open to ages 14+) & Supervisors (open to ages 18+) for summer 2025

+ Youth Sport Officials / Referees / Site Supervisors

+ Starting age 14 years old

+ Outdoor Soccer (spring and fall)

+ T-ball, baseball (spring and fall)

+ Basketball (fall, spring, Winter)

+ Volleyball Officials (spring and fall)

+ GROUP FITNESS

+ Certified Group Fitness Instructor (must have a current primary group certification and current CPR upon hire)

CUSTODIAL

Custodians – Must be at least 16 years of age - no openings as of 2.1.2025

CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM interviewing for Summer 2025

+ Front Desk Attendants, Morning, nights, weekends shifts. Must be at least 16 years of age

Due to the nature of some of these positions, the selected applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements

TEMPORARY POSITIONS:

An "At Will", FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.

+ Must comply with SLCo Parks & Recreation "Conditions of Employment" guidelines for age 14/15 employees (restricted schedules and hours at Holladay Lions RC only).

+ Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.

+ Are not considered merit employees.

+ Are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.
