Job Title: Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Job Description

As a Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will lead service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance Team by designing solutions for complex problems and managing projects. Additionally, you will train and mentor both service and contract technicians.

Responsibilities

+ Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.

+ Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems within the facility.

+ Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and various control components.

+ Create, assign, and close work orders, documenting labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.

+ Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.

+ Mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and roles.

+ Maintain positive working relationships across the Operations facility.

Essential Skills

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ 4+ years of experience with material handling equipment such as automated conveyors and controls.

+ 4+ years of experience in conducting preventative maintenance.

+ 4+ years of experience in reading blueprints and schematics.

+ 3+ years of experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

+ Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs.

+ Team lead experience in supporting, training, and mentoring technicians.

+ Previous vendor management experience.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college focusing on Mechanical or Electrical fields.

+ Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures. Physical demands include reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps/ladders, using aerial lifts, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Regularly move between departments, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day. Tasks may require wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, face masks, face shields, and composite toe shoes. Regular typing on computers for 1-2 hours per day.

This is a Permanent position based out of South San Francisco, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $93038.40 - $93038.40/yr.
